The NIH Toolbox V3 French app was released in October 2024. All content that appears from the beginning to the end of an administration has been translated, including test instructions, test items, audio, and the List Sorting Working Memory Answer Sheet. Please be advised that other content such as the examiner interface, score names, FAQ, Privacy Policy, and all user support currently remain in English. The NIH Toolbox team hopes to expand upon the current translation in the future. All translation procedures were performed in accordance with current industry standards and FDA guidance.
Examiners can administer the Fluid Cognition tests in French. It is important to be aware of the following in the NIH Toolbox V3 French app:
- The following tests are currently available in the V3 French app: Dimensional Change Card Sort, Flanker Inhibitory Control and Attention, List Sorting Working Memory, Pattern Comparison Processing Speed, Picture Sequence Memory, and Touch Screen Tutorial.
- At this time, we have not collected normative data with a French-speaking population. The normative scores that populate in the V3 Hebrew app come from the US-based English speaking V3 normative sample; please use caution in any interpretations of any norm-referenced scores.
The NIH Toolbox team would like to acknowledge the following group for their assistance with translation and cultural review:
