The public NIH Toolbox V2 apps in English and Spanish will retire in March 2025. Other NIH Toolbox V2 translated apps will retire in March 2025. Generally speaking, studies ending before then will often elect to stay on V2 to complete their study. If the study ends after then, we recommend planning a move to V3 as soon as possible. Please train examiners appropriately and update protocols as needed. Should it be helpful, please review the Changes from V2 to V3 document here: https://nihtoolbox.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12645131226644-What-changes-were-made-from-NIH-Toolbox-V2-to-V3-. We had a webinar session on March 24, 2023 which reviewed issues for migrating from V2 to V3. That webinar is available on our website www.nihtoolbox.org. The summary of those recommendations are listed below. V3 transfer procedures will differ by study, so please contact help@nihtoolbox.org for help with more specific questions.
If you are currently using NIHTB V2 to collect longitudinal data and your study ends before March 2025, please feel free to continue to use V2 until the end of your study. However, please note that V2 subscription price will increase before the app expires.
