A wireless keyboard which connects via bluetooth is required to administer List Sorting Working Memory, Oral Reading Recognition, and Visual Acuity. Any Keyboard that connects via Bluetooth can be used for the NIH Toolbox V3 app and NIH Toolbox V2 app version 1.28.7262 or higher. If you are using an older version of NIH Toolbox V2 app you will need to use either a Magic Keyboard (A1644) or Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (A1843)
If your spacebar is not working in the app, first make sure you are pressing and holding the spacebar to continue. If that does not fix the issue, close out of NIH Toolbox and restart the iPad.
If the issue persists, please try the following steps:
- Go to the Accessibility section in your iPad’s Settings
- Tap on ‘Keyboards’
- Turn off ‘Full Keyboard Access’
- Open the NIH Toolbox app and try any test that requires a Bluetooth keyboard
Headphones are required to administer Words-in-Noise Test.
The following headphone models have been approved for use with the NIH Toolbox hearing test are:
