How can I find my app receipt?

Please note this is not your Subscription purchase receipt. Instructions to find a Subscription Purchase receipt can be found here.

There are two ways to find your app receipt. One can be done on your device and the other using a computer. 

To find your app receipt on your device please do the following:

• Open up the NIH Toolbox app
• Go to settings
• Press on "Subscription Status" for approximately 10 seconds
• a pop up window will be displayed click on View Apple Receipt

To get your Apple receipt from the NIH Toolbox V2 or V3 app, you will need to connect your iPad to your computer via cable.

Mac

• Open Finder. 
• On the left sidebar under "Locations", select your iPad.
• Select "Files" at the top of the Finder window.
• Your apps will be listed to the right. Select NIH Toolbox.
• One of the files will be “App Store Receipt.txt”.

PC

• iTunes must be installed on your PC.
• Open iTunes, and click on the iPad icon at the top part of iTunes window when it appears.
• Once you see the menu under your iPad name, click on File Sharing.
• Your apps will be listed to the right. Select NIH Toolbox.
• One of the files will be “App Store Receipt.txt”.
